Application:
These gates are replacing problematic gates previously installed beneath silos and conveyors. Vortex Gates were chosen because of superior features and past performance.
Features:
The Vortex Titan Slide Gate is designed to handle “more abrasive” dry materials – in this case, grains. It features a robust, carbon steel frame, roller-supported blade, displacement pocket end seal, and an exterior access thats allow in-line bonnet seal replacement.
For this application, vacuum-bonded, replaceable ½” (13 mm) ceramic liners have been installed on the gate’s inlet and outlet to address abrasion from the sheer volume of grain these gates will experience.
Lifting lugs were added to provide assistance during the installation process.
